Great weather for ducks.....Neither team were bothered though. It was great to be back playing.
Parkland started fast and played very attractive football to a point but never really created in front of goal thanks Seth’s fantastic reading of the game. Once Ajax got to grips with the speed of play they got themselves into the match creating two clear cut chance unfortunately neither were taken. The balance then tipped back the other way, Parkland scored from a corner which Ajax failed to clear defenders and keeper leaving it to each other for their forward to pass into the net.
Ajax struck back quickly with neat interplay between Duffy Aidan and Giane to finish.
After Half time both sides went for it from the off.
Ajax took the lead on the counter from a superb individual effort. Giane collected the ball on half way tricked two defenders bursting through then shooting from outside the box into the bottom corner past the keeper before he could move.
Unfortunately this galvanised Parklands whose continued pressure paid off scoring two late goals created and scored by the number 7 probably the best player on show today.
Even a very late flurry from Ajax we still couldn’t snatch an equaliser.
